Salt Spray (Fog) Chamber
'Nature has been always ahead of Mankind’
Its various characters like changing climate condition, acid rain ecoevironmental changes has lead to corrosion - MASS conversion. To overcomes this, man has developed various methods to prevent it.
Painting, powder coating, varnishing, lacquering, organic coating and electroplating work as preventive have been developed. Testing these was a task and a process was developed i.e. SALT SPRAY (Fog) Testing.
Salt Spray Fog Chamber has been manufactured indigenously to meet the below specifications and helped to evaluate the percentage of corrosion, effect, process improvement and maximum protection of base material.
Its application for consumable goods, automobile, civil, marine, Railway, Defence, R & D Labs and general engineering etc. are in great use.

Salient Features
- Chamber size inner (33" x 33" x 30" depth) and outer (38" x 38" x 39" height) double wall in PVC fabrication mounted on MS Frame.
- Air saturator / Humidifier in glass pressure regulator, inlet valve automatic refilling device immersion heater and dial gauge.
- Salt solution reservoir with glass cock in 20 liters capacity & DM water reservoir mounted on plastic stand.
- Racks supporting (5 Nos) specimen holder provided with plastic hooks.
- Temperature controller with pH indicator, RH indicator and non rest type hour meter. All digital LED display.
- Air pressure regulator with dial gauge, demisting valve and QR coupling. PU tubing used.
- Fog tower assembly with glass nozzle housed in PVC pipe.
- Drain pipe with exhaust assembly.
- Angular cover with water lock hinged on robust hinges with handle manually operated.
- Software with online facility recording - temperature, pH, RH and process data has been provided. This operates on all systems format PC’s - Windows 98 is preferred.
- All indicating instruments are calibrated to NABL standards.
- Mains On - Off indicating lamp and switch has been provided.
- Operating on 230 Volts AC 15 Amps current can be operated by air compressor, centralized air system or air filled cylinders.
- Pressure required is 30 psi / 2 Kg / cm² - MAXIMUM.
