Microscope SPM07 S is specially designed to view & measure the weld penetration depth in welded samples by software . The test sample is mounted using cold setting resin. The surface is polished using polish papers of different grades & then with a disc polishing machine using either diamond paste or lavigated alumina powder to get scratch free mirror finish. The specimen is then etched electrolytically using an electrolytic polisher or with a chemical reagent.
Measure by software - Microscope SPM07 S is interfaced with your computer & the images can be viewed & saved on the computer hard disk. A user friendly software then measures the weld penetration depth & generates report which can be printed on line or stored for record . Oblique light Illumination (from side) is provided by a high power LED. The SPM07 S stand & LED Lamp has adjustments for focusing as well as correct aligning of the sample surface with respect to the microscope optical axis.
